I have always been a fan of Joesph UK. Their pants are well made, beautifully tailored, and very long. Lines are clean and pieces are always very fashion forward without looking like costumes. For example Joesph has been doing ponchos for decades. Their sweaters vary from tight and tailored to big and boxy. The line caterers to real women with wearable, stylish well made clothing. I never purge my closet of this label because it is so timeless and wears so well. I urge you to check out the new store downtown in NY. Here are a few of my favs.

Real Housewives

I'm not sure about you, but I have a very hard time with any of the "Real Housewives" series for a plethora of reasons. Firstly it pains me that people in Minnesota or Kansas are watching thinking that they are seeing an accurate representation of the women of NJ. As far as I'm concerned they should stick the housewives and the cast of the Jersey Shore in an apartment somewhere off the Turnpike over looking Newark airport. Of course I have a hard time with the clothing. Why are these ladies (from all the different places, not just NJ) so fond of the skin tight track suit? What is it about the mix of velvet/velour, crystal embellishment and midriff exposure that is so appealing to this particular over 30 set? Do they hand them out after they sign their contracts? Lastly, why does anyone care? I don't go to lunch and turn over tables or bar fight with my in laws and I don't have any friends who do either, so why would I want to see stranger do so on TV? I could be using that time to be watching Honey BOO BOO (Just Kidding). And why are these people on the cover of newspapers taking up valuable space that could be used to highlight the daily antics of Lindsay Lohan. Again, just joking. Seriously though, highlight a nurse, a solider or teacher…anyone besides these poorly dressed celeb wanna yes who make us real housewives look so bad! In closing here are some of my choices for the real REAL Housewives of NJ (or at least in the Somerset Hills).
